As Starry Bridge’s Summer Sunday Flea Market comes to a close, we’re looking back not only at what the kids did, but at what began to grow through those shared moments.

Across the summer, kids washed cars, played with bubbles and water guns, bounced, made popcorns, explored family tables, and celebrated birthdays together.

In those moments, they were also practicing social interaction and communication, navigating real-world situations, finding common interests, and becoming familiar faces to one another.

That is the intention behind Starry Bridge’s 3-𝐥𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥 𝐟𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐬𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦.
We start with 𝐋𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥 1: 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐒𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐞 — creating a welcoming place where families can show up, participate, contribute, and belong.
With repeated interaction, familiarity and trust can grow. That creates the foundation for 𝐋𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥 2: 𝐁𝐮𝐝𝐝𝐲 𝐅𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐍𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 — deeper connections built through mutual choice, comfort, and shared experience.
And when trust is there, 𝐋𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥 3: 𝐎𝐧𝐞-𝐭𝐨-𝐎𝐧𝐞 𝐓𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐅𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 can become more personal, family-led, and guided by Special Education experts around what is meaningful for each family.

As summer ends, we're building on that foundation with intentional family pairings, expert guidance, and more shared time — building the trust that makes support feel natural, not assigned.

Over time, those connections can grow into something like extended family, grounded in understanding and belonging. And as trust deepens, it can translate into real support — including giving parents room to rest and recharge.

To us, that is what inclusion looks like in practice.

The flea market season is over, but the relationships it helped begin are entering their next chapter.
