What the Colors Hold

“I See You” by Prescilla Ahn - A tender reflected melody gently echoes the emotions behind each brush stroke. Feel free to press play and let the music accompany you as you read.
It started with a small nudge - an unexpected suggestion from someone who saw a part of me I had long set aside. At the time, I didn’t think much of it. But one quiet day, I picked up a paintbrush, just to see what might come.
I’ve been exploring different mediums - oil pastels, watercolor, acrylic - letting each one speak in its own way.
Painting becomes a quiet dialogue between my emotions and the canvas - a space where I can release what I carry without needing to explain it. Sometimes it’s soft and slow, sometimes messy and raw, but always honest.
The canvas (or papers :) holds not just color, but feelings I don’t always have words for.
It’s not about skill or making something “good”. It’s about showing up - letting color carry feeling, and allowing the process to do its quiet work. Somewhere in that unfolding, I’ve found stillness, a bit of peace - and the sense of returning to something that was always mine.
