黄昏,光也有了心事
The sun was setting behind the willow outside my window.
A gentle breeze wandered through its cascading branches, and the last golden rays slipped between the leaves, breaking into tiny fragments of light. With every sway of the willow, they shimmered, vanished, and reappeared somewhere else, as though the wind were quietly rearranging the sunlight.
I often find myself at a loss for words before a sunset.
Colors mingle shyly in shades I cannot quite name, blending into fleeting, intimate hues of greige that seem to belong to this moment alone. They remind me of a feeling too intricate to unravel, neither sadness nor joy, but a vast and quiet tenderness, suspended somewhere between what has been and what is yet to come.
And when the last warmth of the evening sun washes over my skin, it feels almost like a quiet pardon. The armor of daylight loosens, piece by piece, beneath its golden touch. For a moment, I am no longer defined by a title or a role, but simply a living soul, feeling the gentle passage of time, watching my shadow stretch longer and longer, growing fainter until it dissolves into the earth.
“要一个黄昏,满是风,和正在落下的夕阳。如果麦子刚好熟了, 炊烟恰恰升起……如此,足够我爱这破碎, 泥泞的人间。”
— 余秀华
“Give me a dusk, filled with wind, and the sun slowly sinking beyond the horizon. If the wheat happens to be ripe, and smoke rises softly from distant chimneys… that alone would be enough to make me love this broken, imperfect world.”
— Yu Xiuhua
