Pathos
Yesterday began in almost unbearable heat. By afternoon, clouds gathered and the sky darkened until a summer storm swept through — rain pouring against the windows, tree branches swaying in the wind.
Then, just as suddenly, the sky softened. The light returned. The rain dwindled into a gentle drizzle, weaving through the green leaves outside my window.
Somewhere in that quiet after the storm, this little melody appeared.
It carried something tender and peaceful — a small reminder that life does not always need to be louder, fuller, or more perfect to feel beautiful.
Lately, that is how I have been thinking about Starry Bridge.
I hope it becomes a place where children can simply be children. Where friendships grow naturally. Where parents do not have to explain so much, fix so much, or hurry so much.
Even if only for an afternoon.
We cannot always change the storms life brings. But perhaps we can create moments in between — where the world feels a little gentler, a little slower, and a little more welcoming.
